No Auditions or Prior Choral Experience Required for 8-Week Holiday Community Chorus Experience

LANGLEY, BC — This holiday season, Peace Arch Chorus is inviting women and non-binary singers from across the region to experience the joy of four-part barbershop harmony through “Sing the Season,” a welcoming, 8-week Christmas community chorus program in Langley, BC.

Designed for singers of all skill levels—from total beginners to seasoned vocalists—“Sing the Season” offers a fun, safe, and supportive environment to learn festive holiday music and perform live for friends, family, and the local community. There are no auditions and no requirement to read sheet music, as high-quality digital audio tracks with highlighted vocal parts are provided to help participants easily learn by ear.

Program Details:

When: Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, starting October 14 (8-week program; no session on Nov 11)
Where: Langley Presbyterian Church (Basement), 20867 44th Ave, Langley, BC
Holiday Performance: Sunday, December 13
Cost: $40 per person

Each Wednesday evening session begins at 6:30 PM with Barbershop Basics led by award-winning Director Elvera Collier, followed by vocal warmups and collaborative rehearsals working on three Christmas songs alongside the full Peace Arch Chorus.

What Registration Includes ($40):

8 Weeks of Group Vocal Coaching: Learn vocal production, breathing techniques, and four-part harmony secrets from experienced directors and coaches.
Learning Materials: Access to digital sheet music and audio tracks tailored to each vocal part.
A "Riser Buddy": Every participant is paired with an experienced Peace Arch Chorus member for ongoing guidance and encouragement.
Final Performance: The opportunity to take the stage under the lights on December 13 for a celebratory community concert.

Accessibility & Registration Information

The program is open to all women and non-binary singers (singers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). Please note that all rehearsals are scent-free.
